The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force will be commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day on Thursday, June 6 with programs throughout the day. Admission for all visitors will be $8 all day, however WWII Veterans and children under 6 are always free.

9:30 AM – D-Day Remembrance Service, Chapel of the Fallen Eagles: Start the day by hearing General Eisenhower’s D-Day “Order of the Day” message to the Allied Forces and President Roosevelt’s D-Day radio address.

10:00 AM – Good Morning from the City of Savannah, Combat Gallery: D-Day messages will be broadcast throughout the day from the radio of the Museum’s B-17, City of Savannah.

11:00 AM – Prelude to D-Day, Art Gallery: Join Brig. Gen. Charles Cabell Jr. USAF, Ret. as he shares his father’s (General Charles Cabell) involvement as Chief of Plans for the United States Strategic Air Forces in 1944 in D-Day decisions.

1:00-3:00 PM – Conversations with the Greatest Generation: Interact with WWII veterans as they recount their service and sacrifice to our country.
