Bryan County hosting a ribbon-cutting/grand opening to celebrate the completion of several Hendrix Park recreation upgrades – including the installation of a new turf field. The event is set for 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 at the Park in North Bryan County and will include a visit from Adrian Peterson, a former Georgia Southern University stand-out who enjoyed an eight-year career with the Chicago Bears before deciding to funnel his energy and time into community outreach efforts. His motto, “Pray, Perform, Persist,” has become a mantra for the youth-based programs and initiatives he brings to various communities, including Bryan County.
