DESCRIPTION:National Dog Day “Yappy Hour” at Love’s Benefits County Animal Shelter\n\nBryan Bark Park will celebrate National Dog Day at their popular Yappy Hour\, a casual outdoor event for dog owners and their pets. This initiative will support Bryan County Animal Control and will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday\, Aug. 26 at Love’s Seafood\, 6817 Chief O.F. Love Road. \n \nAttendees are asked to bring items for the shelter including wet and dry dog and cat food\, leashes\, collars for medium and large dogs\, small beds\, small blankets\, cat toys\, pillowcases to put over small beds\, and laundry detergent. Representatives from the shelter will be on hand to collect the donations.  Attendees bringing donations for the shelter will be entered in a drawing for prizes. \nContinuing their support for animals in our community\, representatives from  T-Mobile donated $15\,000 last year for an agility course\, Bryan’s Playground\, located at the Bark Park and has continued their support this year. \n“We are excited to host this event and support the efforts of our local shelter” said Bryan Bark Park President Wendy Bolton. “It’s our pleasure to once again partner with our friends at T-Mobile and are grateful to Donna and Fulton Love at Love’s Seafood for welcoming us to their restaurant.” \nNational Dog Day has been celebrated since 2004. The day serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year and acknowledges family dogs and dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives\, keep us safe and bring comfort. The sentiments behind National Dog Day are the same as those of the Bark Park\, which are to embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy\, safe\, and abuse-free life. \n\n
