The pediatricians at SouthCoast Health see the world of medicine through a child’s eyes. That’s just one of the reasons our Pediatrics Department has earned such a sterling reputation for leading-edge, high-quality care among parents in the community. Our physicians treat kids of all ages—from newborns and infants to growing children and adolescents as old as age 21.
Each SouthCoast Health pediatrician is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has trained exclusively in pediatrics for three years after medical school to learn to diagnose and treat a wide range of childhood illnesses. We combine that highly specialized training with excellent communication skills and an engaging manner, creating an environment in which children are more comfortable and parents are less stressed. We then work closely with parents to educate them on the healthcare needs of their children as they progress through various growth stages.
We understand that kids get sick and need medical attention after normal business hours. We are excited to announce that you no longer have to wait for our office to open to make a sick appointment. You can now schedule your child’s sick visit on our patient portal. You must have a patient portal account to schedule appointments.
Also, we are pleased to offer urgent care on weekday evenings and weekend hours on Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, a physician serves on-call with our nurse answering service to provide advice for your concerns whenever our offices are closed.

St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care in Richmond Hill is conveniently located at 13314 Hwy 144 East, Suite C in front of the Publix shopping plaza. The hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. St. Joseph’s/Candler Urgent Care provides walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries, treating patients 3 months and older.
This location provides on-site, rapid COVID-19, flu, and strep testing. SJ/C Urgent Care provides a convenient, affordable alternative for non-emergency medical conditions. Centers are equipped with digital x-ray, laboratory services, and an electronic medical records (EMR) system. Licensed providers perform procedures like splinting, suturing and occupational health services ranging from workplace injuries, DOT/Non-DOT Physicals, Blood Analysis, Return-to-Work Exams and Drug Testing.
