Founded in 1938, United Way of the Coastal Empire has since been devoted to improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities. Through partnerships, long-term planning and wise investments of donor contributions, UWCE supports over 100 community programs and services in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Liberty counties.

Description of Products/Services:

The Bryan County office administers, or collaborates with other agencies, to provide the following programs to assist residents of Bryan County: Emergency Food, Clothing, SHEP (Special Health Enrichment Program), SHEPherd’s Supper, Coffee and Conversation, Snuggle Bunnies, Making Memories Prom Dress Drive, Children’s Fund at Christmas, transportation assistance, and utility assistance.”
